DT Project week 25! RUDY REINDEER from Cutting Cafe

Hi Guys!
This week I have gone totally out of my comfort zone! I saw how basic the image was and thought.Hmmm what can I do to that??? I literally dreamt the idea!! (I know I'm weird lol)
So what did I do??? I made some earrings!! I bought some shrink plastic and traced the image thro. Coloured and punched a hole ...heated it it then made the earring finding and Voila!
...don't let me kid you. It took 5 attempts! I cut the image out but the antlers stuck to each other..used my fast heat gun and they burned-the smell was gross! Covered with glossy accents and the colours ran....couldn't find my round nose pliers, so, had to make the findings with a paintbrush and snub nose pliers-nightmare!

Anyway here is the finished article...hope you like it!

I used;
white shrink plastic
Cutting Cafe Rudy Reindeer Digi Stamp
Promarkers
Letraset 0.7 fine liner
chameleon 'white' glitter
jewellery wire
heat gun-slower one is best!!!
few aurora borealis beads
pliers/paintbrush ;oP
scissors
gems

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a Fantastic Weekend.
Much Love!

Week 24 Glitter Geeks- Kenny K images=Christmas Shopping.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for reading my blog. This weeks Glitter Geeks Design Team is using Kenny K images and called Christmas Shopping. The images are the card. They don't need much of anythingelse to make a card that pops.
I coloured a few of these images and thought this L'il Lady was the one I was going to use. I think she would be on many a straight man's shopping list!!
The details:
Image is a Kenny K digi Stamp
Coloured with Promarkers and the flesh was a mixture of Pro and Flex Markers from Letraset.
The backing sheet red is Bazill Card
The glitter paper I made with card a Zig glue pen and glitter :)
The snowflake paper is Anna Griffin.
Ribbons are from stash.
Pins...actually from My OH's stash! He cuts them up to make bits and bobs for his miniature soldiers!- yes this house is one big craft room~always untidy!!
The snowflakes a Spellbinder die cut on my Cuttlebug.

I have put up 3 pics as I thought I would show all angles or should that be curves!!
Thanks for looking!
Till next Time...Take Care

Glitter Geeks Design Team Week by Bugaboo

Ok this week we were given a few images to choose from and the theme Hilarious. This was the funniest I thought so here is my card:

As you can see I made this into an easel card. I coloured the image with Promarkers, used Anna Griffin papers - the holly and lime green ones. Also the 3d sentiment is AG. The glitter sparkle paper (at the back) is from DCWV.
The flames I used glitter and gems. The metal holly corners I bought years ago from QVC. You are supposed to use brads but I preferred gems to make the berries. Granny's ruffles are sparkled with Ranger Stickles. Her glasses are just grey Promarker the covered with silver glitter. I tried it without colouring first but found it wasn't as dense colour as I wanted.
Ok the 'Pimp my Sled' the message that came with the character I made by trawling the inet for some Grafitti I liked and copied it. Coloured with a fine nib on my Promarker so it matched in.
That's it! All done for another week.
Thanks for looking and don't be afraid to comment I love to read what you think good or bad.
Take Care,

Illness ... getting me down.

Hi Guys
Sorry I haven't been online but I have been suffering with what was the worst bout of food poisoning EVER!! I'm not sure if it my ME deciding to reject certain foods or just a bug doing the rounds. It knocked me for 6 and has taken me over two weeks to recover.
So...I haven't been able to craft :(  I decided to show you the card I made for my Mum's Birthday in September.
For this I used the Linda Ravenscroft cd...I love fairies and for once didn't make them pink. It is a Mother and Daughter so thought it was very apt for the occasion.
It is actually a  white decoupage image which I wasn't keen on, so I colourised it and gave it a more ethereal look by changing it to pale green colour on pc.
I over coloured with Mica, punched tiny butterflies and doubled them up so they had 3d wings. Martha Stewart punch for the border and a Tim Holtz Ticket. Used my favourite Glossy Accents to enhance the bubbles and heres how it looked...

Of Course Miss Scarlett couldn't let her favourite Granny's Birthday go past without sending a card...so, with my help and Hunkydory- The Dog's Biscuits Kit ..she made her first card.

Ending with the fact Mum was thrilled and took both cards to show her Art Class.

I've had 2 weeks off my DT work but will be back here next week with my work and general musings...
Till Then ~ Thanks for reading and please comment :)

With Love,
