WEEK 27 on the GlitterGeeks.blogspot-Let It Snow

Week 27 DT work was entitled Let It Snow and Sponsored by the lovely Nikky Hall from PolkaDoodles.

I decided to make something different-me different...never! LOL I used to have a Gorjuss Girl kit many moons ago and it was a theatre type card. I only wish I had kept one to use as a template!!!! So, I began with my ruler and knife and made my own
as you can see this template took alot of battering before I eventually got it right.

Rather than use card to make the characters stand. I used acetate and cut slits into the sides. I used Polkadoodles Christmas Boutique papers and stamps. My trusty Flexmarkers to colour and added detail with a white Sakura pen.

So, here is the card : Hope you like it :)

Alot of work, but I liked it when I had finished and decided to make one for my BFF in Finland Anna Riitta...this time I added Miss Scarlett :)

Ok, best get on, stilllllll have more Christmas cards to make as the low tack tape...wasn't that at all and ripped all the work I had done. My wrists are sore and will be happy when this batch are finished believe me.They are not perfect but will have to do as definately not making any more!
On the plus side all presents but one, are bought. I love wrapping so can't wait to get started doing that.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a hassle free week....presents, cards, tree up, shopping etc impossible I know but please try.
Love and Christmas Spirit to you all.....

Glitter Geeks DT Week 26 - Decoupage - Sponsored by Joanna Sheen

Hi Guys!
This is another Design Team card which I actually made  a couple of weeks ago. Had an idea in mind and as usual...thoughts of designs and actually making them is another matter!...It is definately an original.
I wanted a centre panel card but placed backwards like a frame card with steps at the front...I know, I know!! (why don't I just make it plain?..coz I am Crazy Daisy lol) so, I made numerous templates..this being one of them. I eventually got there. Please don't ask for the dimensions...it's a one off I'm afraid.

My Mum's friend bought Joanna Sheen Decoupage last year and then realised how much time it would take to cut out. I love cutting out. I went on a decoupage course aged about 20 so being doing it for a year or (20!)
She gave me a few of her sheets to keep so I used one in this card as the Sponsor was Joanna Sheen.

Here is the card....

My Christmas Theme this year is red and white alpine wrapping. I had already bought the twine and ribbon. I thought that was all it needed reallly as the main focal point is meant to be the House Mouse mice.

The backing papers I used were from The Forever Friend range and the sentiment came with the decoupage. Added  some glossy accents on the berries and their eyes to give them some dimension. That's it!

Hope you like these cheeky mice as much as I do.
Thanks for reading and best go and make some Christmas cards as I am sooooo behind this year.

Take Care and give that special someone/something an extra Hug...relieve the Christmas stress that will be setting in soon.
Much Love,
